After 8 years in business, I’m proud to say PKP finally has a Studio. I always thought studios were for newborn photographers and what would I do with one. It has been magical to have a space. So how did this space happen?
My studio is a Morton Horse Barn. It was here on the property when we will built our final home. It use to have four horse stalls, completely filled with dirt. We hired a concrete company to fill in the stalls that had no flooring. My amazing husband dry walled the what was office in the barn (which is now the dressing room). He also dry-walled my main shooting area. I kept two stalls to keep the look of the barn and also have a closets.
We painted the concrete flooring with Valspar Concrete Paint. Which I have to say its held up pretty well. The walling I used Outdoor Gloss paint so I could wipe the walls down if I need too. The Shiplap was in the barn and faux brick walls were also added.
